How to Lose Weight Along With Your Love Handles

Despite the nickname given to love handles, they are not necessarily good for you. No one strives for a saddlebag, or a beer gut. How about lugging around a muffin top every day. Each one of these describes that extra weight that rests on the waist band of your pants. When you take in more calories than your body can use in a day it will store the surplus fat in this area. However, if you want to you can get rid of these love handles. You can get into shape and fit properly int your pants again if you wish.

Daily exercise is one of the best ways to accomplish this. What you want to accomplish can’t be done with just any exercise. In order to reduce body fat you must focus on aerobic exercise. This type of exercise gets your blood pumping and increases your heart rate. With this type of exercise your body burns more of your stored fat because of the amount of energy that is required. Three times a week for thirty minutes of an aerobic workout will do the trick. You will burn more fat if you choose to increase that number to 4 or 5 each week. Proper posture can also be helpful. Energy is used to sit up all day or when you stand straight. And you burn calories when you use energy. If you are used to slouching then sitting up straight, especially in the beginning, can be a form of exercise all by itself. In addition to helping you burn calories, practicing proper posture can help reduce the appearance of the love handles that you are carrying around. This is especially true when you are walking around. Also, you look better when you have proper posture. Your love handles will look even bigger than they are if you slouch.

Get a move on! At least half an hour every day you should be exercising. A portion of this time should be aerobic exercise. The more time you spend sitting down and not doing much, the more weight you will pile on. Exercise is an important factor in keeping the love handles away by burning calories. Endorphins produced by exercise help you fight stress and improve your mood. Exercise is good for so many things. In that case you should turn off the television, put down the chips and start moving! Diminishing your love handles can be a simple fix. In the end, all it takes is some simple changes to your lifestyle and you can watch your love handles disappear. Remember though, it will take time for you to see results. Soon they will be a thing of the past though, with the proper diet and exercise plan. And before you know it you will fit into your pants correctly again!
